A Christmas Offering

Ever since we started singing this song as one of our Christmas songs in our services holiday last year. I can't help but to simply be in awe of its wonderful message: To present ourselves as an offering of worship to the Lord.

The sun cannot compare to the glory of Your love
There is no shadow in Your presence
No mortal man would dare to stand before Your throne
Before the Holy One of Heaven, it's only by Your blood
It's only through Your mercy, Lord I come

We are an offering of worship to our King
No one on earth deserves the praises that we sing
Jesus, may You receive the honor that You're due

O Lord, we bring an offering to You

By just listening to its nostalgic tune, I was more than addicted but felt a deeper connection to myself which I never experienced before. I can fully picture in my mind what was it like to see Christ in the manger, praising the new born King, the one who saved my life, forever. I can never thank God enough.

Right now, I just wanted to humbly bow down before the God who saved a wretch, a sinner, and an unworthy person like me.Who, like any other sinner, deserved an eternity of punishment in hell. Truly, it is an amazing encounter with a child who was born to save the world.

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"
Luke 2:14
