Review: Seagate Slim Portable Drive (500GB)

My folder is awfully bursting. Projects, documents, graphic arts and everything I consider digital of course, name it. Being obsessed with movies, TV series, music and eBooks, I just can’t stand getting left behind with updates. Because of that, I have so much files I already invaded the whole disk space of our personal computer at home. I realized, my files needed a refuge, ha-ha.

So there it was, the Seagate Slim Portable Drive!

The Seagate Slim (yeah, it was that “slim”) is a light and handy way to organize your files that’s important to you. Available in two colors, black or silver, both on anodized metal finishes, the device is simply elegant and marvelous for a techie.

Another thing, the Seagate Slim is not just an ordinary portable drive. Inside its sleek and beautiful design, a simple and intuitive software called the Seagate Dashboard makes it a snap to sync and back-up your files to your device. The software includes three unique features:

Protect – use to set up easy local back-up with a one-click or scheduled plan. Disaster happens? It keeps multiple copies of your files.

Save – user-generated content from social networking sites can be backed-up. For those who enjoy capturing moments with their smartphones, we all know storage is not our strong suit. With the Seagate Dashboard backing-up content we post, worrying about storage gets petty.

Share – allows multiple files to be uploaded to social networking sites at once. Days of uploading single files without creating a new album are gone. Simply select and choose where to post it, you can even add your comments. Seagate Dashboard makes managing your social profile much easier.

Also, it has the pre-loaded NTFS Driver for Mac. Install it, and you will not bother reformatting your drive on PC and Mac® computers.
